Vacation Bible School 2009~
August 10 – 14 in the evening (specific times TBA)
We will be using the curriculum from Habitat For Humanity, which will be a great tie-in to our on-going missions project with building and financially supporting the Habitat projects in our area.
“Under Construction” is a Christian Education resource which uses a construction metaphor to help children and adults learn about community. Our CONTRACTOR, ENGINEERS, and CREW LEADERS will guide your children through the JOB SITE (church) areas including SCALES AND MEASURES (Music), HARD HAT AREA (crafts), and BLUEPRINTS (Community and Bible Stories). The lessons the children will be learning include Caring, Sharing, and Helping. Adults participate in opening activities and a separate Bible Study to learn similar lessons.
Soon, you will see a plan posted in the Gathering Space which will indicate who our Engineers and Crew Leaders are, and where we will need YOUR HELP! If you are interested in volunteering for VBS in any way, please contact Rachelle soon.
Mark your calendars now for EVENING Vacation Bible School scheduled for the week of August 10-14!
