Christ is Risen! Alleluia! That Christ is risen helps us be confident that new life is possible now and life with God throughout eternity is assured.
Every time something changes we lose something. There is a small “death” and the ensuing grief. God promises to be with us and bring us through times of change and grief and give us new life and renewed joy.
Aldersgate is going through such a time. Pastor Sung Ho Lee will bring changes to Aldersgate just because he’s a unique individual. I will be sad to leave and many of you will be sad to see me go. But we are an Easter people. New life and joy are possible even in the midst of sadness.
