As I write this it’s snowing heavily. It’s the biggest storm we’ve had this season. It’s beautiful! I love snow because it covers all the drabness of winter with a blanket of white. It reminds me of Isaiah 1:18b which says, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” This is what we celebrate in March this year during Holy Week and Easter. Jesus has come to suffer and die for us and then to rise again so that we might be cleansed from sin and made right with God. In his resurrection from the dead, Jesus has conquered sin and death. In spite of what we see in the world around us, we know that we are already a part of God’s glorious kingdom that will come on Earth in its fullness when Christ returns.

I encourage you to take time each day to wait upon God in silence and to offer God your prayers. Be sure to participate in the many opportunities for worship especially during Holy Week. We will celebrate Palm/Passion Sunday on March 20 at both morning services. On March 24 a Holy Thursday worship service with Communion will be held at 7 PM. There will also be a service on Good Friday, March 25, at 7 PM. Child care will be available for both these services. When we take the time to walk the way of the cross, we will be more fully prepared to celebrate the joy of Easter, on March 27. I look forward to celebrating with you. Be sure to invite and bring your family and friends, especially those who aren’t enjoying the blessings of being part of a church family.

In Christ’s love,

Pastor Anne
