Bishop Mark Webb appoints Pastor Sung Ho Lee to serve at Aldersgate UMC effective July 1, 2018.

Sung-Ho Lee with his wife Jung LeeSung Ho Lee was born and grew up in Korea. Upon completion of college education in chemical engineering, he came to the United States for graduate studies. He received a Ph.D. degree from State University of New York at Buffalo in chemical engineering. He went back to Korea for his career in research. Having worked in Korea for three years, he came back to the United States to go to seminary. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Drew Theological School. He also received a Doctor of Ministry degree from Drew Theological Seminary. Sung Ho is an ordained elder of the United Methodist Church and has served churches in New York: Burdett UMC, Ithaca Korean UMC, Park UMC in Hamilton and First UMC in Corning. After serving as District Superintendent of the Mohawk District, Sung Ho is currently serving Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island, New York.

Sung Ho has passion for ministry for all ages: children, youth, young adults, middle aged and older adults. Sung Ho believes that worship must be exciting, dynamic, inviting and engaging with inspiring messages relevant to the real life. Sung Ho has a great passion to help people grow in their faith that can be applied to their daily life. He is also committed to the ministry of encouraging and empowering people to go into the world both locally and globally to share their faith by telling their faith stories and doing good works.

Sung Ho and his wife Jung have two adult children, daughter Sarah and her husband James and son Joey and one grandchild, Harper.
